Zenin Naoya looked at you with an expression of annoyance, and disappointment.
The two of you were about to enter high school, while he was going to receive a formal education in his clan, you were going to a non-sorceror high school. It was a private academy, but still- a normal school?
“You’re wasting your potential,” Naoya told you, looking away because he could not accept how happy you looked in your uniform.
You spun around again, letting the skirt that reached your knees twirl around. “Hmm, am I? I am still fighting curses, I just want to be an ordinary girl as well, isn’t that enough? Plenty of sorcerers go to normal schools, too.”
Naoya decided that your desire for a life that is so-called ordinary is wrong, after all, you were going to be his future wife. How could your life be anything but ordinary?
Yet, despite his convincing and harsh words, you still went off to Tokyo for high school, leaving him behind.

Toji Zenin is your father, and you love him a lot. Even if you can’t understand why he leaves you behind after Mama passes away, you still believe him when he says he’ll come back.
Until then, you’re stuck at the Zenin estate. Naoya is supposed to be your future husband, but you don’t like him at all; he’s mean, he’s annoying, and everyone seems to let him do whatever he wants. All you can do is try to fall in line and hope your father comes back soon.
