Taehyung spotted Jimin outside the pub, smoking, waiting for his taxi. “Why are you leaving so soon? Weren’t you waiting for your boyfriend?”
“I said he’s not coming,” Jimin said, not looking up.
“That’s a shame.”
“Why?”
“I’m dying to meet him.”
Jimin eyed him curiously. He didn’t say anything. He took a drag and exhaled to one side, away from Taehyung’s face.
Taehyung went on, aiming to provoke. “I’m dying to meet the one who managed to tame the feistiest omega I know.” He paused for a reaction. There was none, so he continued. “And he’s a beta. He must be really—”
“I know what you’re doing. Stop it.”
Taehyung tilted his head. “I’m not doing anything.”
“Mentioning he’s a beta like that.”
“Like what?”
“Like that,” Jimin said pointedly. “That fucking tone.” He shook his head. “You think you’re so superior for being an alpha.”

Summary
Sometimes, Jimin still can’t help but be envious of those around him who aren’t betas. He’d always been a curious child, wanting to know everything. So the fact that he can’t fully understand Taehyung kinda bums him out.
He looks over at the alpha who’s still hiding his face.
But at times like these Jimin is grateful that he’s a beta. Like this he can be around Taehyung without upsetting the alpha while also not being bothered by pesky pheromones everyone seems to talk about.
“I’m glad I’m a beta, then” he mumbles without thinking.
As long as I have you, maybe being a beta isn’t so bad
However, one day in their senior year Jimin wakes up horrified to see slick between his legs.
