    In a world where magic came back and humans immediately adapted and turned it into just another tool, they soon learned one thing it couldn't do is heal. What it could do, however, is soul bond the sick or injured to another person as a way of creating something like healing.

    When sick-all-his-life Steve Rogers wins the lottery, he decides to spend his winnings on one thing: a BodyGuard, someone to share their strength and their health with him through a soul bond. He chooses Shield, because they're the very best in the business, and he chooses James Buchanan Barnes, because he thinks they'll be compatible. He turns out to be a little more right than he ever thought he'd be.
