Summary
Any and all colour disappears from Alhaitham’s cheeks when he opens the front door and sees in what sort of state Kaveh knocked on it. His first thought is that there is more red in his outfit than usual, far more than the bright red cape adds. His second thought is that Kaveh’s eyes are redder as well, now almost shining. Red, so much of it, all over Kaveh.
“It’s not mine,” Kaveh speaks up before Alhaitham can even begin his sentence. “The blood, I mean. It’s not mine, I’m not… not injured.”
How Kaveh came to live with Alhaitham after their falling out.

Those were the nights set upon in their agreement. Those were the nights discussed with Jean to allow Kaeya to be free from his assignments. Those were the nights the Winery staff was to steer clear of the second floor.
For one year, neither of them had missed a single Monday or Friday.
As the first Friday Kaeya would ever miss came and went, Diluc had a stunning understanding of how utterly lonely he could be.
