Summary
Their feet were steady on the ground, no wobbling or wavering in their knees. Their hands had even quit shaking, once they’d found the amp they needed. Once they’d steeled their nerves and plugged the cord into the amp, into their guitar. Their tool, their weapon.
Their only shot; their last resort. Something Shima understood the language of. He had to, considering just how many times the two of them had been here. Not here, here. But… with these things. Together.
Nagare blinked and looked up. They didn’t clear their throat.
“‘Kay,” they hummed. Hands clutching their guitar, strap over their back. Eyes meeting bespectacled ones. “What’d you make ‘m play.”---
As fall rolls in across Inkopolis, marking the end of the Sizzling Season of Summer, Nagare finds themself somewhere unexpected; waiting for Shima to let them confess something. Or... at least try to.

It’s the evening of October the 2nd, and a certain dynamically dysfunctional duo is on their way to a party.
Not just any party, though! The customary, SquidForce-organized-and-run, pre-collab artist celebration party! They were one out of two lucky bands chosen to play in the soundtrack of the Kensa-collab launch, and had been invited out to celebrate their success!
However, fate seems to have other plans for these two. And, whether the realization of such comes in the form of a familiar face or simply the current place, tonight will soon become one that neither of them will forget.
