    It had happened during the Chuunin Exams.
    Your team had been destroyed. One of your members killed the other in a fit of rage, and you had only watched, paralyzed by fear. The adults, your teachers, were convinced you were under a genjutsu which had stopped you from acting, but you knew the truth: you were weak. Fruit of a powerless family, trained to be a lowly medical-nin, the will to fight had escaped you that day the way water escaped from fingers. Burning with shame during your growing up, you swore to gain power and take revenge on your fallen friend.

    Now, the land was being threatened by a masked ninja, with techniques and fighting styles that you knew to be your biggest regret. Seeing it as your only possible chance, you fought to be included in the team assembled to take him down, and your only hope was this: to be trained by the feared shinobi that had saved your life, Gaara of the Sand.
