Mydei furrowed his brows. “Know what?”
Phainon fidgeted in his place, looking between Hyacine and Mydei in worry. “Is there something wrong with his health? How serious is it?”
“Pretty serious and it’s not ‘wrong’ exactly but,” she looked down at her notes, her brows furrowing in concern. “Lord Mydei,” she raised her head, looking slightly bewildered. “You’re pregnant. You’re telling me you didn’t know?”
Mydei gets hurt, finds out he's pregnant and panics. Phainon is losing his mind in the background. All in that order.

“I’m sure they were charmed by you,” Mydeimos grumbles. He reaches up to tug at Phainon’s sleeve, drawing the knight’s attention to him. “Were you not going to greet me?”
“Sorry, Your Highness,” Phainon says easily. He walks to the other side of Mydeimos and pulls a chair close to him, sitting down. “What are you eating tonight? It looks good. Did you make it?”
Krateros desperately looks towards Gorgo, trying to discern if she sees what the hell he is. She doesn’t meet his gaze. Distraught, Krateros returns his sight to the two, only to be met with Mydeimos feeding Phainon a piece of his meal.
What the hell. What the hell what the hell.
Krateros learns his precious godson is in a relationship with Phainon, his least favorite person in the world. He doesn't take it well.

He stepped closer, his head cocking to the side like an overgrown puppy. His blue eyed gaze dropped down to his waist for a moment before looking back up at him.
“...Are you hurt, Mydei?”
“...No. I was just startled.” Mydei muttered, looking away as he felt a surge of mortification. Thousands of deaths he had conquered and he flinched from a simple touch?
A surprised gasp escaped his lips when a palm cupped his waist. He looked up at Phainon, shivering when he saw how intently Phainon was studying him, his blue eyes stripping him bare.
Mydei finds out he's rather sensitive to gentle touches than he is to violence.

“They welcome me like I haven’t spent the past week piercing holes through their beloved savior,” Mydei comments once he and Phainon manage to find some peace at the corner of a stairway.
“Careful- you’re still a little purple here,” Phainon replies with a tap to his own shoulder.
Mydei smirks and hopes, childishly, that the princess will at the very least allow him to borrow her knight. It’d be a shame to never spar again.
Or: The war is over, and Mydei is sent off to marry the Okheman princess... Or so he thinks.

When the alpha prince of Castrum Kremnos first began the process of being bitched into an omega—as unintentional as that may have been on Phainon's part—all he cared about was that his battle prowess was not affected by the change. His scent, his day-to-day habits, his (relatively mild) cycles—all of that could be altered with little to no effect on his life. Fortunately, as the months went on, his immortal form was hardly impacted by his gradual transformation into an omega.
Except for one part of him that had nothing to do with his martial abilities. A part of him that, to his embarrassment, Phainon seemed to love to point out.
