The first text comes in the second Chuuya steps out of his— much needed, much deserved— shower. He frowns as the generic dinging sound of his text notification rings out from the living room. Mori had assured him he’d have the weekend off after spending the last six days playing bodyguard for some Kouyou’s girls— a few of them had gotten in hot water with a politician who doesn’t like to play nice with the Mafia and, while Chuuya has no problem crossing his arms and scowling at anyone who gets too close, spending nearly a week in the brothels is enough to sour his mood. Listening to endless fucking and moaning can only be bearable for so long.

wow so...im, finally done with this series. it honestly didnt take long, considering the word count- but this has been an emotional ROLLERCOASTER. i truly do think that Omegaverse is closer to reality than what anyone really imagines, and this, despite not trying to, had a beautifull way of capturing humans emotions. i had to admit, i tend to self project a bit into the stories i read, and there was an overwhelming amount of my time spent thinking "Hes gonna die. Dazais gonna die, hes gonna commit suicide" as soon as his mental health started wavering. and it makes me quite thankfull that didnt happen, because this made me realize i really do need to self reflect a bit. There were times i had to stop reading knowing what was coming. the writer of this really teased everything, letting us plainly know, what was gonna happen, between the lines, yet they still made it very interesting. i didnt get bored even once, just majorly uncomfortable and filled with dread. This has been one of the most crushing yet one of the most healing fanfictions ive read, and while its not perfect, i think this will hold a place in my heart for a long, long time
