The type of cold that numbs you before you realise how biting it is, or the type of sunshine that shines too bright after a gloomy spell. Artists were a passionate group of people - that is an understatement living in Paris during these times - but to see a veritable stranger arguing with another one over a third party’s painting, well. It was neither rare nor uncommon, but interesting.
It could have been love at first sight.
