Fearing for their lives, your village decides to sacrifice you to Beel. While he might've opted out for food originally, Beel decides you might be even better.

Hiding from the scorching heat of summer in the shade of sycamore trees, boys and girls alike would point into the distance, daring their friends to venture to the edge of the foliage and mocking their hesitance, only to refuse to do so themselves when prompted. As adults, people chuckled to themselves from the sidelines as their children followed old traditions. They laughed at such childish follies and teased their own little ones for a fear they once knew well, dismissing the tales as just that—a dark, cruel fairy tail effectively used to keep the babes close to home. Even the few remaining elders that wholeheartedly surmised the tales as truth believed demons had all but vanished from the lands long ago.
Until the winter morning a farming family awoke to discover one of their cattle dead, whittled down to nothing but chunks of shredded flesh and bones. The display left behind was gut-wrenching. A bloody, grotesque mess.
Whatever caused destruction of this nature was not a product of the human realm.

So much had happened, but the only thing that Colby could think about was the blood that trailed from his wrist to his fingertips. He brings his hand to his face. The scent was so strong, he inhaled and it felt like he was breathing for the first time. His eyes closed as they rolled back, Colby had never smelled something so good."
