Writing feelings down was a concept completely foreign to Nickel—why would he, anyway?! Getting emotions out through means of sarcasm is as healthy of a coping mechanism as any. Balloon can write about him all he wants—Nickel cares sooo much about what he thinks about him, anyways.
…He almost wants to say something, watching Balloon continue to write in that journal as much as he does.

Astro was always tired.
Between terrifying runs and sleepless nights or simply nights where sleep is a rare luxury, he had every reason to be.
But beyond shallow perception lay unlimited access to peak comedy and unveiled inner feelings. He felt it was his job to grant dreams, and to watch them. It was something worth losing sleep for.
Especially just to see his fellow toons smile again.
