There always comes a point in the story where circumstances change. The characters' intentions shift. Next moves become anticipated. And the tale unfolds as it was always intended to. No matter how elaborate Caitlyn had considered her best laid plots to be, she never quite foresaw this series of events unraveling quite like this. Though she’s certainly not complaining about the conclusion of such a hectic spiral, though perhaps she’ll be forgiven for a few grievances against the exhaustive buildup.

Caitlyn writes fanfic and she puts a little more of herself and her desires in it than she intends for her best friend and beta reader, Vi, to ever observe unfiltered.

Summary
Vi prides herself on being a good friend and fostering community. Such a habit has landed her with quite a few odd requests being made of her, but none quite as unique as being asked to act as a filler volunteer for a strap-sucking contest. In her efforts to simply do her part and dip out of dodge, she incidentally places herself in the crosshairs of a very competitive woman more than willing to rise…or more aptly sink to her knees in order to take on the challenge between Vi’s legs.

Vi likes to be helpful—useful even—and so Caitlyn puts her to plenty of use.

Caitlyn cupped her hands in the wash basin, filled them up, lifted them up, drenched her face. And again. An ice-cold slap in the face - something to set her senses straight. She lifted her dripping face up, looking to her reflection in the mirror.
Still wrong. Still not the right one.
She ran a hand up, gently prodding herself on the chin - first softly, then prodding a bit harder as if to test it wouldn’t fall off, then running a calloused thumb along her jawline, across her cheek, resting on the ‘VI’ tattooed under her left eye. Her breath caught when she realized, despite her initial protestations, that this was actually real.
Not a hallucination, not a dream. Cait was in her girlfriend’s body. Cait was in Vi’s body.
Fuck.

Set a few months after the end of season 2, as things are dangerously close to returning to 'normal', Caitlyn and Vi wake up to discover they've inexplicably swapped bodies. As they work to find a way a back to their own bodies, they come to appreciate each other just that bit more
