With more desperation, unable to keep it in the seams, “I feel like I’ve known you forever.” Mydei smiles, a slow, sweet thing. When did he get so close? Phainon’s heart beats out of his chest, wild, harrowing and reaching for everything in front of him. He can feel it in his ears. Fuck, he’s so close.
“Maybe.” Mydei looks at him, still smiling his awful smile. Awful. “Maybe you have.”

“I’m sure he’ll come back soon!” Trianne had told him, patting his head. “He should’ve told you, De. Of course you’d badly miss him, you’re his best friend!”
“I’m going to rip his head off,” Mydei mutters under his breath. Wait. “What? I don’t miss him. Why would I miss him? We’re all Chrysos Heirs and I’m—we’re not even best friends. I’m sure it was something important, if he had to leave without telling me.”
He sees a flicker of pity in Trianne’s eyes. He groans. And fuck Phainon, wherever he is.
Or, Phainon disappears. Everyone thinks he misses him, for some reason.

His hands move up to caress, running fingers through his hair. Seungmin might cry; he knows he made him feel bad, feel jealous and ignored and forgotten, but Hyunjin holds him like water and looks at him like he’s the moon herself. “What is it? You want me to act possessive? Is that what you want?”
“Want you to punish me and tell me I'm yours and only yours,” Seungmin mumbles into his neck, nuzzling into him. “Tell me I belong to you and I'm taken, tell me to never look at anyone else. Please. Please. Make me yours, please.”
Or, Seungmin has spent his whole life trying to woo his knight.

Hyunjin looks at him. “No.” And he’s quiet the rest of the day.

Phainons' breath hitches. She is hungry. Covetous. Bold and ugly with want like desperate men in love are. “Should I gouge them out for you then, princess?”
She would, she thinks. At just one word of Mydei’s, she’d rip them out and offer them as crown jewels. Mydei looks at Phainon for a moment, then another, longer, unreadable thoughts passing through her pretty eyes — and then she crooks her head ever so slightly; gives a soft smile Phainon hopes no one else will ever see but her:
“Keep them. Keep them, and teach me, Deliverer. Show me how to appease the men that look at me the same way you do.”

"Oh my Titans," Cipher said. She wasn't even laughing anymore, which was a sign of the coming end times, probably. "The Little Lion's actually pregnant."
"It's early, obviously," Hyacine said, her brows furrowed. "But the signs are all there. Somehow. To know for certain, we'd have to check again later."
"I'm not pregnant!" Mydei shrieked, his voice oddly high-pitched. Around the clinic, other patients turned to look at him.
Mydei took a long, deep breath. Then, stiffly, he repeated himself. "I am not pregnant."
Or, approximately four months after Amphoreus welcomes the new dawn, Mydei wakes up with an odd golden mark burned directly into his abdomen, identical to the symbol of Worldbearing.
Naturally, he does not, in fact, ask Phainon about this phenomenon. Instead, he discusses with the Trailblazer, obtains terrible advice, and goes on the worst railroad trip of his life.

suddenly, he’s back in a time where he and mydei barely knew each other, and not even an hour later he gets punched by his husband’s younger self.
meanwhile, a younger phainon gets thrown into the future, head spinning as he takes in the fact that the older mydei in front of him was… his husband. what.

or: time travel shenanigans with phainon. both mydeis are NOT happy with it. only at first though.
