Summary
Hello fellow Philes! I’ve been reading X-Files fan fiction for only a couple years now, but have never been brave enough to delve into writing. I gave myself the challenge for 2024 to stop being so anxious about trying new things and give myself permission to try creative endeavors without being so hard on myself.
This first attempt at writing is a one-shot/short-shot that is supposed to take place between “All Things” and “Brand X”.
Since I’m still very new to writing fan fiction, this first attempt has not been proofed by a beta-reader. I sincerely apologize if anything is rough around the edges and appreciate anyone willing to give feedback.
Thank you for taking a chance and reading a fic from a newbie!

Hey everyone! I started working on some of the Smutmas prompts you all shared, and when I tackled @Trustno1_xf's idea, I quickly realized it wasn’t going to fit into one chapter. What began as a single event has turned into a full story! I’ll post it in chapters, aiming to have it up before December 1st!
The Prompt: Mulder and Scully find themselves in a situation where they are pushed into intimacy, but Scully isn’t fully ready to take that step. Despite the deep feelings and undeniable attraction she has for him, doubt lingers, and she struggles to find the confidence to move forward. Sensing her hesitation, Mulder gently reassures her, consistently seeking her consent. His presence and words become a steadying force, reminding her of his unwavering feelings for her and ensuring she feels safe, respected, and understood. As the moment unfolds, Mulder remains a steadfast support, guiding her through the vulnerability and reminding her of her beauty and strength.
