Akira followed to look at the stars again.“It’s like the earth is trying to drown their image, as if the darkness that surrounds them is going to suck them into the abyss and extinguish them. Doesn’t the earth know they already float there? In that mirrored abyss? I don’t understand how something that’s already burnt out can shine so brightly still?”
Akira didn’t understand Ryo at that moment. Had his friend sent him his location in the middle of the night just to talk about something metaphysical? What did his words mean? It’s been too long since he’d heard the blond go metaphorical on him. Even if Akira didn’t understand, he knew it mattered, because it mattered to Ryo. Akira would try to understand.
