All attempts to leave left Ao’nung’s face as he stared at Neteyam. His eyes were wide, mouth agape, phone falling out of his hand.
“I can help” He raises his hand, stepping into Neteyam’s view.
Neteyam stares at Ao’nung, studying his face.
“I’m sorry, you are..?” Neteyam attempts, tilting his head slightly.
“Ao’nung” Ao’nung smiles, a little too wide for any mischief.

After moving into Awa'atlu, Neteyam has taken up the job of caretaker. Watching his siblings closely and being the oldest they can rely on, but when can he rest? When can he lay in someone’s arms without care or worry? Maybe his thoughts would’ve stayed that way until an irresponsible Metkayina takes intrest into the beautiful Omaticaya that just moved in.
This was originally supposed to be just an Aonunete fic but I lowk also wanted Lo'ak and Tsireya's relationship to peak through, then I was like ykw Kiri and Rotxo should be here too, so while its Ao'nung x Neteyam centered, You still see the other ships and how the siblings react to Aonung and Neteyam being together.

Aonung didn't like the idea of having to tour these new people around Awa'atlu, especially since he honestly didn't care about the newcomers.
Thankfully, the children never leave home anyway, so he was safe from all of that responsibility. But when this new kid in his class appears, he's head over heels. He knew then he would do anything to be with him.
Uh… he probably shouldn't have bullied Neteyam's brother though…
