Grace’s foot caught on the bottom of your cardigan. He tried to catch himself, but it was to no avail. After a few seconds, he crashed, hard, into your lap.
You, thankfully, cushioned his fall. It could’ve been a lot worse. You were only a couple days away from retrieving the predator sample, and Grace couldn’t very well collect anything with a broken bone. He heaved a sigh in relief.
“Uh, Ryland?”
The relief he’d felt moments ago was replaced with dread. Grace shot up from where he’d landed and saw you covered in Rocky’s powdered 'seasoning'. He glanced down at himself after.
The gloves had kept his hands safe- yay! But, every other inch of his body was coated with the same power. The now empty, deep jar sat just a few inches away from the two of you.
Oh god. Nearly everything on Erid was lethal to humans. Grace very well might have just killed the two of you, and Erid and Earth could kiss the solution to their problems goodbye.
or: grace and reader have a cultural exchange with rocky in the form of video interviews. in the middle of one, they get an accidental, large dose of what ends up being sex pollen for them and have to bang it out. a lot.

Rocky doesn't say anything at first, until. "You and Grace already do those things. Statement."Or: As you are recalling moments from your life on earth, you are stuck saving the world with a rock who speaks to you through puppet shows and computers, and a school teacher (also bastardized scientist) who keeps looking at you as if you created all the stars in space.
