It's like a switch is flipped, and Maki is 15 again, staring down the boy he likes as he tells him off for being too much, too loud, too touchy—all on national TV, just so Maki knows he means it. The other boys nodding along because they already know. He already told them.
And Maki listened even if what K told him about Harua contradicted everything he thought he knew, even if Harua does more daily to refute his claims that Maki acted alone. He's been well trained, he supposes. He almost doesn’t notice when Harua touches the other members like he loves them. He tries desperately not to notice when Harua touches him.
