Miguel has seen multiple universes where you die and he's unable to intervene. Even caused one of them to collapse. Universes where you're his wife, or you have his kids, or you're his co-worker, or you never knew him at all, like in his home universe.
When he finds the only universe where you end up surviving all the canon events, an anomaly universe, it only makes sense that you should now belong to him.
Almost like the universe gave you to him.

In a last move to save the workers of the buildings, offered to the person who stayed to commence manual shutoff at the cost of her own life.” The priest spoke.
“(Y/n) died a hero. Her body was never found, but her memory lives in her legacy as an excellent physicist, partner and friend to all she met.” The priest continued. “Our world is sorely wounded in such a loss, but in hope we find strength in who she was in her prosperous, even if short, life.”
Unaware to the attendants of such an oppressively hopeless funeral, (Y/n) hadn’t died.

He was your dad’s best friend growing up and you respected him. As you slowly matured into a woman you realized you were attracted to him.
He came and visited you frequently and you were happy he cared for you. That was until he invaded your personal life. He checked your phone every time he visited and would yell if he found a man’s phone number. It got more intense as the months continued. He would aggressively grab you if you didn’t listen to his orders and apologize.
He started referring to you as his girlfriend. Saying things like you were meant for each other and how he would never let go of you.One day, you had enough and just left. Blocked his number and bought a plane ticket back to a city you’ve dreamed about living in.
You adjusted nicely until one calm evening you heard a loud bang on the door. You stuck your eye to the small peephole. Cold sweat dripped down your face in pure terror....
