An alternate universe where Voldemort never heard a specific prophecy and triumphed in the First Wizarding War, dismantling the Ministry of Magic and seizing control over magical Britain. The Order of the Phoenix was destroyed, and Albus Dumbledore fell early in the fight, leaving no one strong enough to challenge the Dark Lord’s rule. The Statute of Secrecy remains intact, but Voldemort’s shadow reaches into the Muggle world. This is… it’s fucking nice, is what it is. It feels easy in a way that Jake never would have expected it to. It’s gotta be because they’re going back to their normal lives tomorrow, no pressure of having to see each other every day to make it awkward. A decent amount of mutual attraction helps, too.

Summary
Ever since he was a kid, Jake was able to see ghosts just like his family before him. As he got older, they taught him how to use his gifts to help people move on to be at peace and now, living in San Diego, he spends his days helping the people who need the help and hopes that, at the end of the day, he is making a difference and those people are at peace.
Sadly, helping people move on doesn't pay the bills and so he moonlights as Hollie Gibson, the worlds number one contemporary romance author. With multiple number one best sellers and a movie in the works, Jake's writing career is at the top of the game. Too bad he's got a massive case of writers block. At least until he meets Bradley Bradshaw and the two of them fall into a casual relationship that could've been ripped straight from one of Jake's books and sparks more than just Jake's writing.

Summary
Fighting was the only thing Bradley could do to help his family when they found themselves in a mountain of debt, and he didn't regret it, not if it meant they would be okay. But he never expected to meet Jake Seresin, nor to get drawn deeper into a world he didn't want any part of, even though, as time wore on, he realized he wanted Jake. More than he should.

Summary
Bradley was excited that Jake made it back from the mission he had been on, even if he was a little worse for wear. It's been six years since they started dating, and he figured it was time for Jake to meet his uncles at a dinner they were hosting for some new detachment Mav had been working with. As well as let Jake know who his uncles are so he could finally propose.
Too bad Jake already had plans with his CO and squad for the evening.
