Summary
“Ilya, what are we gonna do?” Shane says.
Ilya finishes whatever he has been doing on his phone, and tosses it gently to the bed beside him. He crosses the room to Shane, stands in front of him, squeezes into his shoulders with his big hands, rubbing them like he means to warm them up.
“Looks like we will have a little vacation,” he says, with a big obnoxious grin.
Boston and Montreal are sent to Paris to play against each other in an exhibition series in January 2017. Ilya and Shane decide to stay in Paris for one more night. Just one more night, so they can talk. Maybe finally understand each other.
They aren't expecting a volcano to erupt in Iceland and close all the airspace in Europe, leaving them stranded there. Together.

Summary
or, how Shane Hollander learned to stop worrying and love (Ilya Rozanov's) dick one summer in Italy
***
Every year, the Hollander family decamps from the Ottawa suburbs to spend the summer in northern Italy. And every year, Shane dreads the arrival of the summer guest—the graduate student his parents insist on hosting. Shane not only has to move out of the larger room for the guest, he has to move into a smaller adjoining room and share a bathroom and balcony with said guest for the rest of the summer.
Shane hates this summer's guest already, because he's arriving three weeks early. Then the guest arrives, and he has curly hair and long eyelashes and insane chest muscles, and he's so fucking charming, and Shane just—Shane hates him.
Hates that he can't get away from him. Hates that he can't stop thinking about him. Hates his tiny shorts and unfairly round ass.
Just, yeah. Shane hates him.
***
A Call Me by Your Name remix, in the key of Hollanov. Featuring: a smaller age gap (than in CMBYN)! The erotics of water drinking and fruit eating! Tiny bathing suits and billowy shirts! Yuna and David are around too!

Summary
Rozanov spins his stool to face Shane fully. “That is it? No warm hello? No fond embrace? No sorry I shot you in the fucking chest?” The thing about Roz is that his native Russian accent is only ever on display when he’s off the clock. He’s even better with languages than Shane, which is infuriating.
“You threw me off a cliff,” Shane replies mildly, that weird feeling in his stomach growing claws.
Rozanov wields the cocktail umbrella like it’s a sword. “Ah. No. You were wearing parachute. I was wearing very cute, very non-Kevlar Lululemon! Is not the same thing!”Or, Spy!Shane and Ilya have very strong opinions on who gets to kill each other.

Summary
Odd-Man Rush: The situation that occurs when a team enters the attacking zone and outnumbers the opposing players in the zone.
Or,
Shane doesn’t know why he still feels so off-kilter. He should be the happiest he’s ever been—he won the Cup, he feels like he’s maybe starting to have a few friends on his team, and he’s finally starting to believe his parents when they tell him he won’t get traded again. He should be on top of the world, but sometimes he still feels like the lone defender on an odd-man rush, skating as fast as he can to prevent what feels like an inevitable outcome.
The problem is that he’s not quite sure which outcome it is that he’s trying to stop.
