Summary
Now that they were out of it, neither Fluixon or Saparata spoke much about that summer: the hazy period of time where they seemed to argue about everything. It was the summer that Sidefall came to live with them, and it had been the summer in which everything went wrong at once.
or: Flux on marriage, adulthood, the perils of raising his seventeen year old nephew, and what it takes to love.

Summary
“I think I could absolutely climb that.” Saparata said.
“You’ll fall.” Fluixon shot back instantly.“Flux, you don’t even know what I was talking about. You didn’t even look.”
Fluixon sighed. He did look, and he saw the half-built Acropolis. The single most important building of their settlement, scaffolding stretching upward like an invitation to disaster.
“No.” He repeated, with feeling.
Or: Fluixon’s memories of Theria. Its birth, its rise, and Saparata’s fall.

Summary
As Saps drives, Flux traces their route along the paper map. It stretches halfway across the dashboard, thin paper crinkling beneath his fingers. He traces out where they’ve been, where they’ve started, and where they might be going. This highway leads all the way to the coast, where the rest of the world crumbles into the ocean. Behind them is everything that has ever existed.
or, Flux runs away to see the ocean, he and Saps are soulmates, and only one of them knows how to swim.

Summary
The one who has come back from the documentary filming looks like Saps. Sounds like Saps. Everyone thinks it's Saps who has returned, safe and sound, from his six-month trip away on the project.
Fluixon is the only one who knows the truth. The man who is in his home, who wears his wedding ring, who wears the face of his lover, is not Saparata.
