Summary
Oda Sakunosuke died to a bullet hole in the chest after a drawn-out fight with the murderer of his adopted children. His body was taken by the Port Mafia for examination, and his funeral was held, attended, and funded by one person months later. His death wasn't grieved by many, and even fewer remembered his name in the following years. It was just another example of an unimportant member of the Port Mafia dying on the job.
Or, that was the official story, anyway.

I know there are technically a lot of fics of these two, but a large amount (in my opinion) are somewhat lacking in what I personally want in a piece -- or mischaracterize one, if not both of them. (Not that I mind mischaracterization all the time, or making a character into your own, just that they usually make Dazai extremely tropey or Oda not written in what I feel to be a very believable manner)/the fic is utterly FANTASTIC but super short/abandoned...So? I hereby throw my hat in the ring!

As soon as daylight touched his eyes, Dazai instantly squeezed them shut, trying to flinch. The two men obviously did not let go of him.
They pushed him forwards so hard that he stumbled and slammed unceremoniously onto the cold floor.
"Is that him?"
Dazai paralyzed instantly, recognizing the voice. He didn't even realize he had stopped breathing until he ran out of air. In his head a single thought, a single word: Odasaku.
He was there, right in front of him, and he was alive.OR: because of a particular event in their own realities, both BEAST Dazai and main Dazai swap places and will have to deal with those worlds that one rejected and the other completely ignored.
