    When a far more Jaded, far-less-Mortal Percy wakes up in his nine-year-old body, he very firmly decides that Once Was Enough, Thank You! So, instead of deciding to re-do his childhood But Better, he decides that this whole Mortal Hero thing is just NOT for him. So, instead, he decides to do as his kind-of-sibling Nereus does, and become a Hermit. Hell, he even makes his Mortality burn away faster than it had in the Before, so he CAN'T become the Child of Prophesy this time!

    His plan is absolutely foolproof!

    Seven-year-old Percy knows what’s going to happen in the future, and he dreams about the heroes of the past. He doesn’t know why. He has nothing to do with the Greek world, he’s just trying to survive Gabe.

    Apollo, God of Prophecy, can’t find his new baby prophet. When he finally locates him, he’s not what he expects. He’s possibly the weirdest prophet he’s ever met.

    Nineteen-year-old Lee Fletcher, unofficial camp leader and adopted big brother to a whole camp full of demigods, has no idea what his dad, Apollo, is about to dump on his lap.

    Dionysus is both horrified he’s been dragged into this, and full of gleeful anticipation for the coming chaos.

    Triton is still grieving his daughter. Four thousand years later, he has no interest in this new demigod brother, but perhaps she would want her father to help him?

    Poseidon and Hades are revelling in the chance to be absolute drama queens.

    (N.B.: This story has been fully overhauled as of 6 Feb ’26, and the word count doubled. While there is a lot more world-building and new scenes, the expanded story has no impact on the existing later instalments. No need to re-read unless you want to.)

    But never, ever before, since the creation of all that is, had there been two beings interwoven like this… forging a connection that transcended time and space, defying every logic and rule there ever was in their strive to be together. The Fates decide to take Percy's arrival and turn it into a full recounting of all of his quests. The Romans are along for the ride as they see what it was Percy Jackson was doing before he arrived at their camp.
