Summary
“Oh, hello, you,” Hermione said softly. It was a little frog, no bigger than the hollow of the palm of her hand. Gently, she scooped it up in her hand and smiled. It really was very cute.
Then it opened its mouth and said: “What the fuck, Granger?”
That was when she screamed and threw the frog straight back into the plants.

Summary
“You’re not capable of murder.”
(She really hoped he wouldn’t hurt her.)
“Try me,” he sneered. Empty threat.
She arched an eyebrow. “Want to bet?”
Then she reached out, touched his chest.
“Break my arm, then.” As she’d guessed,
He didn’t. “Granger, you are sick.”
Yet she felt his heart beat quick.—
A story in verse about Hermione's tenderness and daring, Draco's cowardice and courage, and how the tide of war can be turned by a single impulsive action.

Summary
Draco looked miserably at the low ceilings and stone walls of what were apparently going to be his living quarters at Hogwarts. The rooms were minuscule. He made one last effort. “I understand that living in the castle is a tradition here, but professors at Beauxbatons—”
Granger glared at him, arms crossed and hip cocked. In her sensible heels, she was exactly his height, yet they did not see eye to eye. “Let me guess, Professor Malfoy: you skied down to the campus every morning from your mansion above the clouds? And a dozen elf-made croissants awaited you in an office the size of a ballroom?”
“Oh, you’ve been, then?”
“This is your suite. Happy housewarming. Goodbye.” She whirled away, heels clicking on the stone floor.
Draco was left grumbling to no one, a state he found himself in after nearly every interaction with the Director of Hogwarts.

In which Draco Malfoy obtains his dream job at Hogwarts, and Hermione Granger obtains a Problem.

March 2026 update: This is on semi-hiatus. I've got the bones of the story's conclusion, it's just that The Muse has pushed me toward other projects.
In her eighth year at Hogwarts, Hermione joins an elite cohort of Medieval Magic students: Padma Patil (the brainy beauty), Theo Nott (the flirt), and Draco Malfoy (the prat).
Their research leads them to revive extinct plants, brew forgotten potions, and cast spells that haven't been spoken in centuries. But their brilliant professor is harboring a dark secret.
—
This is the Hogwarts x The Secret History story I've been wanting to read, featuring Malfoy as an irritable yet enthusiastic Latin tutor:
“...so that’s one thing that distinguishes medieval written Latin from ancient Latin: the heavy use of abbreviations,” Malfoy was saying. He had been leaning his elbows on his knees as he pointed at the book on the table between them. Pausing, he looked up at Hermione. All traces of the misery in his silver eyes were gone, replaced by the sharp look of an engaged intellect. God, he loved this stuff. And despite the struggle to understand it, so did she.

Summary
“Malfoy?”
God. He hasn’t heard her say his name in years, and certainly not with so little derision.
“Granger,” he returns, paying her the same courtesy.
She steps closer and a small part of him relishes the fact he’s distracted her from what was evidently a single-minded pursuit.
“What’re you doing here?” she demands.
“In my shop?” He leans his hip against the counter and crosses his arms over his chest. “Commerce, I expect.”

Summary
Earlier tears had left her eyelids heavy and soft. They fluttered twice before opening onto his face.
She said, “Will you tell me why you’ve been living in this tiny Spanish village? You can count on me never to share.”
His lungs filled with earth-scented air. “Chasing fairer weather.”
He wondered what she saw that made her smile like that.

Summary
“Look,” she started impatiently. “I’m not sure what’s going on, but one minute I was in a vault at Gringotts and then I blinked and was here—”
“You died.”
“I—what?”
“Terribly dangerous profession, Cursebreaking,” Draco mused, turning to examine a large painting hung on the wall. “You would have been better off taking that analyst position in the DMLE, you know. Might have lived longer.”
“How do you know about that?” Hermione’s eyebrows shot up in surprise. She had rejected that position ages ago.
“You’d be surprised by how much I know about you.”

Summary
“We’ve got to stop meeting like this.”
She stood over him, a glorious vision in lime green robes and sentient frizz. Just like always.
“Say the word, and I’ll take you on a date, Granger,” he replied, mustering his trademark smirk despite the pain of two cracked ribs and a burn on his shoulder.
“Malfoy.” Her rebuke was half-hearted as she set to work peeling back his dragonhide armor.
Draco Malfoy had few regrets in life—other than the years he’d spent being a bully and a prat, his brief stint as a Death Eater, and a particularly horrifying night in his Manor—other than those times, his biggest regret was that the only times Granger had ever seen him shirtless, it had been because he very unsexily needed her to heal him, and never from a romantic ailment—like tuberculosis.
OR—Draco attempts many times to woo Hermione. She is (mostly) unconvinced.
