Summary
AU where Sydney survives the incident at Lake Emma, which is now a distant memory he definitely surpresses. Things are still awkward between the gang. Syd is now an adult and dreams of an escape from Echo, through his desire to be a professional Wrestler, but scared to take that leap. Chase is at University, having ghosted Leo and by association most of his friends back in Echo.
Takes place around the same time the game takes place. There's a lot of canon divergence (obv, Sydney's alive;;), but Echo is still being Echo.
Might continue this in the future, but this can be entirely read as a capped off one-shot.
