“Okay,” Clay mumbled, trying to sound as casual as possible. “I won’t hang up ever again then, and I’ll just jerk off on the phone.”
It was a joke, really, nothing but light teasing to get George to shut up. Joke that apparently had worked, his friend staying quiet for a couple of seconds. And he had expected to hear a huff that mimicked his own, or some kind of half-thought response with a flustered tone. But once again, when the brunet finally spoke, that’s not what he received.
“Sure.” British accent was heavier than usual. “Okay.”
“I’m serious, George,” he declared, with a certainty that was only for the show. “I’ll do it.”
“Okay.” the boy said back right away. “You can, I don’t care. I don’t mind whatever you do, just don’t hang up.”
The ball was back on his side.
He opened his mouth to talk, then closed it again, unsure why those words made his stomach twist the way it did, or what the weird sensation even meant.
“Okay. But you can’t hang up for that either.”
“Fine.”
And then, they were silent.

Or Dream and George make a pact so their phone calls can last longer, but there might be more to it than just clinginess and convenience.

Summary
When all else fails, and that is when literally everything else failed, with rejected visas and a hopelessness that their plans will never come to fruition, at least Dream and George still have each other.
And, well, if that is what they truly only have left, maybe they should just take it as far as they can, green-card marriage and all.
As long as George can convince Dream they are totally, completely, 100% in love, of course.

"Wait," he felt a little crazed, mouth shooting off before he could fully regain control, "like, you've got a picture of her mid-blow job?"
It set Dream off again, dissolving into laughter.
"She was actually super chill."
George itched with the need to see that picture, something prickling uncomfortably beneath his skin, his mind going into hyperdrive over the thought of an image like that even existing, and an uncomfortably sharp feeling exploded in his stomach, like a jagged blade plunging directly into his abdomen.
"Can I see?"
