After all, the danger isn’t real; the Supreme Leader never hurts her unless she wants it, and she always gets away at the end.
Their game hasn’t gone unnoticed. Tava Ren, new leader of the Knights of Ren, has had enough of watching the First Order’s immense power—a power she wants—be wasted on a single prisoner who yields no useful intel.

One by one, Kylo sends the Knights of Ren to kill Rey. Things don't go as planned.
“The scavenger is strong.”
“Stronger than you, anyway,” Kylo spits back. He mentally supplies the obvious, needling response himself: that apparently she is also stronger than him, and he can feel a battering ram of anger from Cardo with some kind of tainted smugness underneath. Which Kylo doesn't have the time or inclination to parse out. “Is anybody not intimidated by a twenty-year-old girl who spent most of her life starving on a backwater desert planet?”
The rest of the knights raise their hands.

I'll need to sort through my thoughts later, about how my upbringing around sex & monogamy usually/involuntarily shapes my perspective when characters have sex with people that aren't the one they ultimately love. But that's something to process in my journal later. What I will say here, is that WSDR presents that premise in a way that makes *sense* to me perfectly, in a way that a polyamory (?) story never has before. Writing is so divine & punchy & so unexpected, I was thrilled line to line to line, knight to knight to knight; without ever wavering in my faith for its eventual, beautiful outcome. I'm completely stunned.
Also: that shit HOT.
I wrote in a comment, but the anal scene in the second chapter avoids the usual ass-euphemisms and still conveys it in such a clear way, I'm so impressed. -

Summary
After his plan of sending each of the Knights of Ren to kill Rey backfires, Kylo must face the consequences.
A dark!Rey alternate ending to Want Something Done Right (E, KoR/Rey & Kylo/Rey, ~13k two shot).
Behind him, one knight lets out a low, admiring whistle that Kylo can hear even over the pounding of blood in his head.
"Give them to me," Rey hisses, teeth bared. It takes all his concentration to loosen her grip with the Force, to pry off the worst of the constriction.
Is that what she's here for? It's not even about him.
He has a light-headed urge to laugh.
"They're yours," he chokes out.

I’ve wanted to write a reylo story around the topic of the church (since I’ve come through a religious upbringing and a slow, painful deconstruction) but my own faith being yet-unresolved (I still believe in God? but not in the church? I don’t know if I believe God is present & caring for creation because have you SEEN life on earth?? Shitshow) so anyway I’ve never known where such a story would go.
I’m so glad this story exists. It’s just what I needed. ❤️
