There is a flash of something on his face, as if something in him has shifted. He continues his contemplation for a bit, and as Mike is about to speak up to once again tell his friends to lay off, Will breaks the silence:
“Do you guys know Chance?”

“Wow.” Max scoffs in amusement, clapping her hands dramatically. “Look at that Wheeler, you almost did it, you almost said no to Will. Very proud.” She sarcastically praises.

Max makes fun of Mike for doing whatever Will wants so Mike tries to prove her wrong but fails miserably.
