Summary
There is no Sozin’s comet. The world is in a state of peace, but many idle threats are waiting for their chance to strike. There is no war, but one may still come to pass, especially after the Fire Nation is sent into a state of unrest after an Angi Kai gone wrong leaves Fire Lord Ozai and Crown Princess Azula charred to a crisp.
In the wake, Zuko chooses voluntary exile, sparing himself from the power vacuum left by his father and sister. Sokka is the Southern Water Tribe Ambassador who helps him escape, and also his childhood friend, whom he unfortunately loves.
With unrequited feelings and no home to return to, Zuko must decide what to do with his life. However, the newly coronated Fire Lord Zhao is determined to put an end to the Royal lineage once and for all, despite Zuko’s insistence that he is uninterested in the throne.

After the two of them decide to take their chances, they find themselves growing close after sharing the night by camplight…and realize one of them definitely ingested the toxin.
