There had been something between them, of that Eijun is almost certain. Lingering glances, shared silences, hidden conversations only they understood. There were soft touches shared only between them, endless nights together beneath the stars, playing catch until way past their bedtime, even if they almost always regretted getting to bed that late in the morning, and their shared laughter echoing through the night until deep into the early morning hours.
It truly had been some form of magic. Electrifying in all the best ways.
And now, to Eijun’s utter dismay and heavy disappointment, they barely even text anymore.

“Isn’t university the time to have fun and be unserious?” Jongho asks back. Just because he’s never had a real relationship doesn’t mean he’s incapable of having one.
Wooyoung and San give him matching unimpressed stares. “And it’s not because you’re emotionally unavailable?”
“How do you know I’m not dating someone right now?” Jongho can feel his pulse in his temple. “I’m a private person!”
“Yeah, but if you were dating someone then why are you still fucking around with Yeosang?” Wooyoung throws in.
Dammit. This is it. This is the moment where a wire fries in Jongho’s brain. He can feel it as it’s happening, the electric sizzle of his synapses melting, even as the words are queuing up and leaving his mouth. “Because it’s Yeosang I’m dating.”

Hongjoong unconsciously squeezes his fingers again. The motion has Seonghwa realizing how close they’re standing. When did they get so close?
The dancer tries to get the conversation back on track by slipping his hand out of Hongjoong’s, “tell me, Mr. Kim, what are you doing here? On a Friday night after closing?”
“Call me Hongjoong, please,” the man corrects sheepishly as he glances at his own wristwatch. “I just got off work at my second job and I’m sorry to be bothering you… But I’m looking for private dance lessons.”

They meet at night when Seonghwa locks up the studio. Hongjoong Kim catches him to beg for private dance lessons with the explanation that he wants to impress his wife this holiday, but there's no wedding ring to be seen.
They meet at the beginning of December. It takes four weeks, up until Christmas, for Seonghwa to fall in love.
