Summary
The point of this roundabout recollection - her brain ricocheting around and around like a pinball on steroids - is that even now, even when everything is going her way, even after years and years of therapy and no small amount of closure on several pertinent elements of her life, even with every grounding technique known to man at her fingertips, when she’s faced with Quinn Fabray she has to remind herself how to breathe.
Quinn comes home. So does Rachel.

"Rachel does not have a proper chance to speak to Quinn until some time after the big reveal (plotted, of course, by all of the returning alums on the rental car back, and later Santana will show her the little chart, the way that they mapped the whole thing out because all of them are still losers, really), until after they’ve performed that faux-impromptu flash mob in the cafeteria like it was still 2011, until the school day is over and Rachel is cleaning up the choir room (she still hasn’t figured out where Mr. Schue kept the costumes when they weren’t in use; currently she’s got a rack of neon-bright 1980s spandex shirts awkwardly hanging out in a corner) and she hears Quinn’s slow, deliberate gait."

Summary
“We never even did Goth Week.” This is Tina, arms crossed tight across her chest, scowling like a child, and Rachel is still hanging around her because Santana is making plans to leave and Kurt is off canoodling with Blaine and she doesn’t even know what Quinn is doing, where she is, if she will see her at all before everybody goes their separate ways.
Rachel and Quinn do one last tour around McKinley High School.

Summary
The first time they all hang out together after the Troubletones and New Directions merge back into one group is also the night after the Christmas special-turned-soup-kitchen-volunteering-trip.
It’s nothing special. It’s at Santana’s house; it’s late and nobody’s eaten and she tells them her mom won’t mind, it’s whatever. Quinn knows it isn’t whatever. She also doesn’t push her friend on it – things are still tense, uncomfortable, after Sectionals. If Santana wants to throw a little party and pretend she never showed her soft underbelly, that’s her business.
