“Very rarely does your definition of a little stroll match mine,” he replied, but set his plate amongst the others and took your hand, standing and pulling you up gently with him, supporting your elbow kindly. As in all things, with grace. “Let me dress in a more appropriate attire,” he requested, pressing a kiss to your ring finger before strolling back to his tent. You allowed him his space to get ready and, you supposed, mentally and physically prepare for what you both knew would probably be closer in his estimations to a hike.
You and Gale are in love and are on that timeless mission of lovers: To understand one another. An autumnal companion piece to my wintery first work, With Thanks, Gale, where the natural prevails over the unreal. This time, Gale seeks to teach you that a little poetry and a little magic is fun, erotic, even, and accompanies nature quite swimmingly, much like the two of you.
