With Maddie and Chimney on their honeymoon in Puerto Rico, Uncle Buck joined forces with none other than Eddie to take care of Jee-Yun for half the couple’s vacation before leaving his niece in Hen and Karen’s hands and reckoning with the reality of returning to work under Vincent Gerrard.
Looking after a child together was hardly Buck and Eddie’s first rodeo, but five days of babysitting Jee might just be the last push for them to stop dancing around their true feelings for each other. Which would be made easier if it wasn’t for a few obstacles like the secret related to Christopher that Buck had been keeping from Eddie, or that Buck was currently dating Tommy.

Theo sighs dramatically and with full gusto, all the fight leaving him as he stares up at the ceiling.
“But I don't want to go to bed,” he whines quietly.
“I know,” Eddie says empathetically, “Going to bed is Buck’s least favorite part of the day, too. But, hey,” he continues, “The more sleep you get, the more energy you have for adventures tomorrow. Isn’t that right, Buck?”
“That’s right,” Buck says, “and Eddie told me that he was going to take you to see the Hollywood sign tomorrow.”
Eddie had not told Buck that he was going to take Theo to see the Hollywood sign.
Buck’s face appears on the screen, wearing a knowing grin, and Eddie realizes, with a fond sort of inevitability, that they’ll be going to the Hollywood sign tomorrow.

Abstract: In a longitudinal assessment of the Buckley variable’s impact on Dr. Diaz, we document a surprising decline in objectivity, an alarming spike in flustered rambling, and multiple methodological failures including—but not limited to—accidental staring, uncontrolled blushing, and an unprecedented disregard for professional boundaries. Despite repeated replication attempts, no reliable strategy for emotional neutrality was found. The data strongly support the hypothesis that Subject Buckley is hazardous to academic composure. Peer review pending. Further study (and possibly therapy) is recommended.
