It's summer ceasefire again but the Texas heat doesn't sear away the creep of germs, of infection, of insidious clear mucus and muck that take up crowded residence inside her nose and lungs. With it comes fever - one that burns away the binds of much that Pyro aims to keep sealed away. But Engie's there, even if he feels, despite all the PhDs, entirely out of his depth. He's not counting on getting sick himself nor waking up, delirious and feverish, to the sound of the truck being revved by someone that has no license to drive.
