Yugamu clears his throat again and takes a step forward, extending a hand to brush the back of his knuckles against Sumino’s forehead. “Are you feeling unwell? You look terrible.”
“Thanks,” Sumino mumbles, but the dry remark lacks his usual bluster. If anything, Sumino just deflates, his shoulders curling inwards. “I just… woke up on the side of the bed this morning, I guess.” His free hand tugs at the front of his jacket and he lets out a faint grumble, glancing over his shoulder at the Gift-O-Matic again. Although Sumino’s skin is a bit clammy, he clearly doesn’t have a fever, so Yugamu withdraws his hand. One of Sumino’s eyes shuts as he does. “Y-You’re not here to use it or anything? Or look at the history?”
Not an unsuspicious thing to ask. Yugamu underwent four straight months of torture when he was seven to be sure that he could hold his own during interrogations, so luckily, he’s able to suppress the telling glance he wants to make at Sumino’s pocket. Instead, he raises an eyebrow, tucking his hands into his sleeves.

Yugamu finds Sumino acting a bit shifty and realises that his current issue is one he's more than capable of helping with. (Or: Yugamu gives Takumi his T-shot: the fic.)

Summary
Plans had begun to form in his mind as soon as Sirei told them, casual as anything, that there were bombs inside their bodies. Even more than he resented the threat, at the time he was mostly curious; he was intimately familiar with every scar on his body, and would have immediately noticed any new additions, no matter how small. But in this, at least, Yugamu didn't doubt Sirei's sincerity.
Something wasn't adding up. He was done biding his time.
Yugamu enacts his plan.

Yugamu’s hand shakes when he lifts it. As a child, he endured strict training in order to fight back human instincts like adrenaline rush and fear. It’s been a long while since he’s actually felt his body move in ways that he couldn’t rein in, but his hands have been doing that since the night he poisoned Kyoshika. Curling his hand into a fist instead, Yugamu digs his nails into his palm and counts to three, then relaxes He carefully spans the distance between himself and Takumi and brushes his fingers through Takumi’s bangs.
It’s been a while since he’s showered, or done anything really rather than lie here, so his hair’s a bit greasy. It lies flat when Yugamu smooths it down. He tries not to mess with it excessively, but can’t draw back when he sees the way Takumi responds to the touch, his eyelids shutting the rest of the way as he tips very minutely into Yugamu’s knuckle. It might be the most he’ll allow himself to react right now… That causes another twist in Yugamu’s chest, but he ignores that one too and tucks Takumi’s hair behind his ear.
“...It’s probably my fault,” Yugamu reflects quietly, “that you’re like this.”
