Summary
Pete McVries, in a desperate attempt to find his calling, has spent the best of three weeks staring at his local notice board. When all hope seems lost, he finds a small advertisement for Ray Garraty's Fishing Experiences, and it's exactly what he's looking for. He packs a bag and heads to the countryside for what he thinks is a nice weekend with a kind old man named Ray.
But there's a catch; Ray is not elderly at all. In fact, he's Pete's age, and to make matters worse, he's ridiculously attractive and scarily talented. After this revelation, Pete's task is simple: enjoy the weekend, learn how to fish, and please, for the love of God, don't try to seduce the fishing instructor.

Summary
PRETEND THIS IS A STUPID JOKE.
Day 3, Houlton. Protestors meeting us downtown. Rioters, molotovs, looters, etc. They’re on our side. We use the distraction—stop the Walk.
Laugh if you’re in. Push me away if not. No beef either way.
DO NOT fucking snitch or I will give you your ticket myself, I fucking swear. The Walk is ended abruptly by a half-assed plan, and Ray Garraty is caught up in something he can barely understand.

Summary
“I used to be engaged,” Amanda starts.
“Huh.” Angela isn't all that eloquent, but she looks up at Amanda, letting her know she's listening.
“It's going to be two years since I called it off in a week.” Amanda finishes her wine, too, setting both their glasses down before she continues, “He was… honestly, he was perfect at first. I kept thinking I didn't deserve him. So loving, he worshiped the ground I walked on.”
“At first,” Angela repeats, her hand soothing where it's been resting over Amanda's back.
“They’re always charming at first.” Amanda nods, agreeing.
Or,
Amanda works through her past, Angela works through her present. It would just be a lot easier if Angela let them work together.
