“I’ve been lonely,” she finishes, before she can talk herself out of saying it.
Suddenly the look on Robin’s face falls solemn, and she reaches out to put a hand on Nancy’s knee. “Hey. Me too.” She rubbed her thumb over the material of Nancy’s slacks slightly, almost imperceptibly, comfortingly. It would be comforting, if Nancy didn’t feel like every nerve ending on her knee where Robin’s hand rested was on fire. This should be normal, she thinks. This is how girls are with each other. That’s how she was with Barb, once. But this was Robin. Robin had a girlfriend. She was gay. And Nancy wasn’t--
Blue eyes made contact with her own, and Nancy felt something inside of her ache.
Oh.
Maybe there were more things than just her trauma that she had been avoiding, not thinking about. She had been busy saving the world, after all. Or maybe she did have too much wine.
OR - a fic where Nancy comes to terms with her sexuality and her trauma when Robin comes to visit her in Boston.

"They called you Zombie Boy after I took you," Henry murmured, "didn't they? You came back from the dead, and left something in the dark, in the grave dirt. Something that made you healthy."
Slowly, Will's outstretched hand cupped Mike's jaw. Henry made Will hold him lightly, hardly grazing the skin. He stretched one of Will's fingers out to trace his nail through Mike's face, and though Will had imagined holding Mike an endless amount of times, none of them had gone like this. He'd never wanted to hold Mike like this.
"Let him go," said Will, voice thick with emotion. "You can take what you want from me, you don't need him—"
"But you do," said Henry. "You need him."
When Henry starts to visit Will in his dreams, Mike starts getting inexplicable injuries. The stranger Mike acts— the more time he spends with Will, the more Will catches him staring, the more Mike dismisses the bruises and cuts scattered across his skin— the more Will starts to wonder whether Henry is right about him.
Maybe Henry did give Will a disease, back in the Upside Down. Maybe, as he dreams, Will passes that disease on to Mike, too.

Summary
When Will needs to get his thoughts out of his head, he writes a letter he never intends to send. He addresses it to Mike, and tells him everything.
Feeling lighter than he has in weeks and buoyed by the adrenaline of writing it all out, Will acts on an impulse and ends the letter with, "If you’d be willing to give me a chance, I’d be really happy to date you. If you’re open to trying it, please meet me in Castle Byers this Saturday at 2:00pm. I’m not asking for any promises, I’m not asking for forever or anything like that; all I’m asking is that you give me a chance. Come if you want; if not, I completely understand, no hard feelings, and I’ll never, ever mention this again."
He forgets all about the letter, and the distinctive red envelope he stowed it in, until he turns around to find it missing. Now, Will has to think of some way to stop Mike from reading that letter - or should he wait at Castle Byers on Saturday at 2:00pm and pray for a miracle?

Mike thinks it all started the day the Byers moved into their house.
Having sold their house in Hawkins a year and a half prior and moved to California, when they came back, and the town got put in lockdown, they didn’t have a place to go.
Mike had kindly offered up their place during dinner.

The 18-month gap between s4 and s5 told from Mike's POV with minor other POV's as the story progresses. The gap has been lengthened to encapsulate more time passing. They start at 16, but by chapter 6 they're 17 1/2 with them turning 18 chapter 32/34.
