Summary
He was barefoot, sitting on the riverbed, platinum hair dancing in the wind. His ivory white foot was dipped into the cool river of May, the sleeves of his chiffon blouse billowed with the wind.
Kinich was just passing by, yet the moment his eyes caught the sight of the boy, he was in awe.
With great difficulty and nervousness, Kinich managed to say, “Would you like to walk in the grass fields?”
The sea of rainbow roses and marcottes thrived in the warm glow of the afternoon sun. Pink and red coloring the lush and green grass.
The boy kept looking at him, still not speaking a single thing. Then he looked back towards the river’s flowing water, looked at the refraction of his foot inside the chilling water.
“Then,” Kinich tried again, “would you like to go into the woods?”

Summary
“Varka?” Lohen asked quietly, surprised.
Varka pressed his face into the crook of Lohen's neck and kissed his pulse point gently. “Will you let me do this?” he questioned. “Once I start, you can't question how I show my love to you. But you are allowed to tell me to stop.”
“Bring on the worst,” Lohen huffed.
Varka lightly cupped Lohen’s face in one hand. “That is the thing, Lohen. This isn’t a competition, and neither is it about hurting you.”
Or: Varka's desire to love Lohen amplifies after seeing the Vice Captain nearly die.

Summary
The door swings open, and Childe immediately bows and says his signature catchphrase, “Fatui Maid Services, here to offer you the most authentic maid experience. I’m Childe, and I’ll be—”
He finally looks up, and stood before him was a man with dark hair tied in a low ponytail that trailed down to his waist. He had a decent build, broad shoulders and defined muscles barely outlined by his white dress shirt, his sleeves partially rolled up and exposing his forearms. His eyes were the colour of cor lapis, and the ends of his hair strands had the slightest tint of amber.
“—s-serving you today...” Childe was absolutely mesmerised.
“Ah, you’re here,” the man spoke, and Childe suppressed the urge to scream.
Fuck, that voice. It was a pleasant baritone. Serene and tranquil, an excellent match to the elegance and poise the man exuded.
When he heard that his client was a rich man in his thirties, he was expecting someone a little... different. Someone crude, someone snobby, someone unpleasant. But this man, Zhongli, if Childe remembers correctly, was the furthest from that. And so he stands stunned, his mouth agape as he stared at the most beautiful man he’d ever laid eyes upon.

Summary
With his dominant hand out of commission, it quickly becomes clear to Childe that he is now as self-sufficient as an infant. He can’t tie his own shoelaces, button his own clothes, or even hold a pair of chopsticks properly— the last of which, now that he thinks about it, he couldn’t do even when his left arm was perfectly intact.
His only saving grace is the fact that it’s summer break, so classes won’t be in session until several weeks later. He won't be able to attend swimming practices, but he won’t be skipping leg day when both his legs are perfectly unscathed. In fact, a part of him is even a little glad at the prospect of getting to stay in his dorm room with Zhongli all day. All in all, it's a good thing that he got into an accident during summer break, silver lining and all that.
...It is a good thing, right?

Summary
The truth is that Childe has a secret. The truth is that Childe doesn’t remember much of his time in Liyue. He remembers the boring, seemingly endless paperwork, remembers collecting the sigils of permission that became a crucial part of his plan, remembers the fall of the Geo Archon at the Rite of Descension, summoning the Overlord of Vortex, fighting Lumine at the Golden House, and at the end of it all, finding out that he had been one-upped by Signora, the eighth harbinger.
What he doesn’t remember, however, is everything outside of that. He doesn’t remember how he spent his leisure time in Liyue, what he had for lunch and dinner, how the first Lantern Rite he experienced was like. There are gaps in his memories that he doesn’t know how to fill, periods in his stay in Liyue that feel like endless, dark pits. He had never felt the need to fill the gaps, because all he needs to know is that he had played his part excellently and met all the Geo Archon’s expectations.
But after seeing how concerned the travelling duo looked... he supposes his business trip to Liyue would be a good chance as any to start piecing them together.
And perhaps he could start with this mysterious man named Zhongli.
