The noise of the rain hitting the driveway outside seemed to fade out of existence as she watched Willow’s eyes widen not even for a second before they took on an expression signaling that she’d crossed a line. “Are you fucking kidding me?” Willow hissed.

There was another pause before a strangled sob cut the air. "I'm alive," Mike managed.
"Are you crying?"
"What- no!" Mike bit back angrily, furiously trying to scrub the tears off his face with the back of his hand. Max started to scoot under the stall again, this time ignoring Mike's protest. "The floor's gross, dude," he mumbled, trying to shield his face inadvertently.
"Yeah, well, I don't care. I already have a bunch of bullshit all over me, so," she glanced at his face. She could tell he’d definitely been crying. His eyes were glossed over and red, and he was still making his sad attempt to cover his face. “Talk to me, Wheeler.”
“I- ugh, I don’t know. You and Lucas have something good. And I have it too, I mean, I have El, and I’m happy with that, I like her, but...” He stopped quickly before he said something he would really regret. He knew that for a moment he had looked surprised at his own words, and all he could do was hope that Max hadn’t picked up on it. “No, nevermind. It’s stupid. I’m fine.”

"Mike was waving excitedly at him and Nancy stood next to him, a soft smile on her face. Will started towards them, but was suddenly passed by a blur of motion. El was running directly towards Mike, screeching to a halt just before knocking him over. Will looked away before he could see them kiss, feeing like an idiot. Of course Mike hadn’t been waving at him, he was waving at El. His girlfriend."
tldr: Instead of Will at the airport with the painting, it's Mike with the letters.
