Summary
Wooyoung’s life exists in two places: the restaurant he works at, and the memory care facility where his grandmother lives. Between those places, he has two friends who he lets close enough to see him struggling. That is, until a new server is hired.
San enters Wooyoung’s life at a pivotal time for both of them. They bond quickly as both of their lives crumble around them. What starts as friendship becomes so much more as Wooyoung and San support each other through loss, grief, and self-acceptance.

adorare (latin): to honor, adore, worship
With Hongjoong’s answer, Seonghwa slowly rounded her girlfriend, before she sank into a kneeling position. The sight was sinful: Seonghwa on the floor, looking up at her, eyes half lidded and hungry. Hongjoong’s breath stuttered as Seonghwa lifted her hands to slowly run them up and down her thighs, teasing each time higher and higher at the hem of the short mini skirt. With the first graze of Seonghwa’s fingers under her skirt, high up on her inner thigh, Hongjoong closed her eyes.
“I want you to look at yourself in the mirror, Joongie,” Seonghwa purred, continuing her ministrations. “I want you to see how perfect you look, especially with my head between your legs.”
or
Hongjoong is feeling insecure about how she looks and a skirt. Seonghwa proves to her girlfriend that she has nothing to worry about.

Summary
It wasn’t until a familiar voice reached her ears that Hongjoong was pulled out of her stupor. Soft notes laden with emotion, the kind of talent that couldn’t be found anywhere. She knew that voice. She knew it in ways better than she knew her own. She had heard that voice laugh with unadulterated happiness, cry out in unfiltered pleasure, but worst of all, she had heard that voice echo raw pain.
Seonghwa. Seonghwa’s voice was as beautiful as Hongjoong remembered, although all of its light was gone. The hopeful melodies that lived in her memories, reminding her of nights filled with hopes and dreams, had been replaced by somber notes of defeat.
Or
Hongjoong's world comes crumbling down when she hears a song (Good Luck, Babe!) by her former lover on the radio.

Summary
“Hey, relax.” Seonghwa’s voice softened at the pinched look on the older man’s face, all the previous teasing gone from his voice. “Everything is going to be fine; they are going to love you.” He moved to wrap his arms around his neck.
“Are you not at all nervous about bringing your freshly gay, divorced boyfriend, who has a kid and is 12 years older, to meet your friends?” Yunho asked self-deprecatingly.
“No.” Seonghwa leaned in to give a quick peck to Yunho’s cheek.
or
Seonghwa is introducing his (older) boyfriend to his friends for the first time.

Summary
"Wooyoung... I don't— I don't know what to do, something's really wrong with me…"
The words rip violently out of Hongjoong chest, flaying him open at the sternum. He begs, for nothing and for everything at once. He exposes his raw, barely-beating heart, and waits for it to be crushed by rejection. Crushed by judgment. Crushed by anything at all, because Hongjoong's body has trained him to expect pain in every move he makes.
Wooyoung, as soft as a flower petal and as tender as a doe, deflates. His chin trembles he steps towards Hongjoong and takes his hands.
"Oh, baby …" Those two words carve a new chunk of guilt out of Hongjoong's gut, because he doesn't want Wooyoung to see him like this. Not him — all sweet sensitivity, all devoted loyalty and invigorating care. He's younger. He's more precious.
And here Hongjoong is, with the delicate touch of a freight train, forcing him to witness the self-destruction of the century.

Summary
As a beta, Seungmin has a very firm belief in the established subgender system. There are expectations attached to each role, patterns that make interactions predictable and therefore manageable. Alphas are meant to lead and protect. Omegas are meant to be courted and cared for. Betas exist in between, steady and neutral, assisting where needed and observing where appropriate.
Seungmin likes that. It makes the world easier to understand.

Summary
Chan rolled over onto his stomach, the blankets twisting around him. The pressure eased some of his pain. It also meant an instant tackiness between his thighs, and a burst of peach mixed with a fresh sea breeze. Sweeter than it had been last month, at least. Perhaps things could get better. He just needed an alpha.
