What would Erwin have done, if he had lost Levi that day without ever having showed him how much he wanted him, without ever having touched Levi, or held him like this, tightly, as if he couldn’t stand to let go, or kissed him again — really kissed him, until he was breathless and red-faced and clinging to Erwin because his knees had gone weak — in the way that he actually deserved?
He didn’t know, but the thought alone was enough to put the overwhelming sense of relief, desire, and joy that he felt now into overdrive, because Levi was alive, oh yes, he was definitely, undeniably alive, Erwin thought, warm and solid and breathing in Erwin’s arms, pressed against his body, and kissing him in a manner that left no doubt in Erwin’s mind that he felt the same way too.
