Summary
After her college baseball team disbands, Carson Shaw transfers to Rockford University for her senior year. She meets up with old high school friend Lupe Garcia and is introduced to Lupe's partner Jess, and their roommate Greta.
Carson's world is turned upside down when she realizes what she is experiencing. Until then, enjoy fluff, pining, slow burn, and foolishness as these four journey through life and aquariums and maybe learn something along the way about what it means to be a star.
This will be a bit of a hybrid fanfic. Most content will be posted on AO3, but a selection of text messages/additional content will be posted on twitter only (@alotohomebase).

Summary
After a bad breakup Carson decides to drop out of Rockford College and hit the road seeking to find the mother that left her and the reason why.
Eventually deciding to return to school, Carson chooses to transfer and gets accepted into Columbia’s Undergrad Writing Program for her final year. She’s pretty sure she wants to write a memoir someday so she enrolls in Professor Greta Gill’s Personal Essay course. Though not prepared for all the positive and negative emotions and self discovery, Carson is determined to live her truth. But what does this mean for young Professor Gill and her attempts to establish herself in her profession while also learning all about her newest student.

“Have you figured out what you’re wearing for the wedding yet?” Max asked the table.
“We both got dresses,” Greta said cautiously, looking toward Carson.
The rest of the table joined in looking toward Carson.
“Yeah, I found one this morning,” Carson said, avoiding everyone’s looks.
“You don’t sound too happy about that,” Esther said.
“I just…I don’t feel comfortable in it. I don’t know how to explain it,” Carson said with exasperation.
“Have you thought about wearing a suit?” Max asked.
Carson knew that her identity was more than her clothes, but she couldn’t wrap her head around how her outside felt so different from her inside. So, she stuck with what she knew, wore what was mostly comfortable, and put all of the love she should have saved for herself into Greta.
