love it. to bits. not even kidding.
reread factor is through the roof and skiesi could think about this fic anytime of the day and would just find myself either teary eyed or quietly crying over it out of fondness. dramatic, but it's the truth. i find myself too attached to this one and its characters and its worldbuilding and its narration and... just about everything in it really.

Out of the pure concern in his heart (and his seething hatred for Gary), Vincent attempts to bond with Joyce, who appears to be neglected by her famous husband. In fact, she might even . . . hate him as much as Vincent does?

Hell is other people. Purgatory is being a twenty something weatherman with the memories of a being a media overlord who had the entirety of Hell wrapped around his finger.
Sent back to his mortal life with a chance to "do it right this time", Vox has a problem. The Angels have installed a patch in his soul: the Pacifist Protocol. If he tries to kill a rival, poison a boss, or throw a punch, he is paralyzed by blinding agony.
He cannot claw his way to the top if he can't use his claws. He needs a loophole.

Summary

Following the finale, the hotel and the Vees decide to forbid the now-free Alastor and the now-subdued Vox from seeing each other after the stunt they’ve pulled, afraid they’d cause more trouble for hell.
But obsessive hatred runs quite deep, and if the two can’t find a way to ruin each other’s lives in hell, they’d risk everything to find another way in another place.
Somewhere out there exists a universe in which Alastor and Vox are as close in every sense as possible. Geographically, temporally, emotionally. An alternative version of Al and Vincent on Earth in the modern times. One day, they begin to get spontaneously possessed by their demon counterparts, whose plan consists of tormenting each other in their bodies.
Their possessions won’t always be timely consistent, leading to a few teeny-tiny... mishaps.

Summary
Vox relocates from New Orleans and finds himself a new home, new hunting grounds, and most importantly: Alastor, the biggest crush of his life. Unfortunately, the man fucking hates him. His attempts to turn Alastor’s simmering hatred to begrudging affection fail entirely, until a nighttime middle-of-the-swamp meet-weird (and some erotic knifeplay) over a corpse.
Follow two serial killers figuring out what kind of life they can build together. They meet each other's families, navigate the question of how Vox has evaded consequences for so long, and settle into something real. Underneath the domesticity, Alastor carries a 20-year-old score to settle, and when he finally gets the info he's been waiting for, he drags Vox into it with him.
A story of revenge, family drama, a soul-binding, uncovering each other’s closely-held pasts, through the slow and painful work of two people learning to be known, and eventually toward the question neither of them thought they'd answer: what does a future look like for people who never planned to have one?
OR: Two serial killers fall in love and fuck and it’s actually really deep, somehow. (You can easily skip the weird shit, it’s tagged and indicated in-chapter)
