“Uh, no! We’ve got Doctor Mohan,” Mel answers quickly, weaving past him as she keeps moving.
In any other situation, Santos knows Abbot would have shrugged, let out a sigh or pulled at the corner of his mouth in mild annoyance. Instead, this time, he just smiles… almost fondly.
“Then they’re in good hands, you know?” Jack leans in and murmurs to her, his tone conspiratorial.
Trinity watches him with narrowed eyes for a few seconds before turning back to the keyboard. “Sure…”

Now, to Samira, those few minutes with her partner before he’s about to begin his night shift were about as normal as they can get.
For Jack, his eyes zeroed in on the hand she had resting on her back to relieve pain. They glanced over the dark circles under her eyes that lingered even after a full twelve hours of sleep; he knew she hadn't gotten enough. And much more importantly, his gaze refused to move away from the scrub fabric that covers her stomach once focused there.
Jack Abbot thinks Samira Mohan is pregnant with their baby, and he’s not entirely sure how to tell her.

A loud buzzing sounds between her ears. It drowns out the ED, the commentary of the other nurses as Ahmad hits play on a video cued up from a local news’ YouTube channel that reads HOSTAGE SITUATION AT PITTSBURGH BANK in the lower chyron.
The video shows a shaky camera zoomed way far in as, yeah, that’s definitely Jack, walking toward the front doors of a Philly First National branch with his hands held up in surrender.

Jack’s TEMS shift goes awry, and all Samira can do is wait.

Summary
A full smile blooms on Abbot’s face. “Dr Mohan, you have your own go-bag?!” He looks absolutely delighted as she rolls her eyes and reaches down to her backpack, fighting her own smile.
“You don’t get the goods if you make fun of me, Dr Abbot.”
His right hand moves from his leg to rest over his heart. His eyes dance at her as his features slip into a farcical mask of shock.
“Hey hey, woah woah, this is awe I’m giving you, baby!”
