Techno swallows dryly. There’s very little place for morals in their world- he wouldn’t say his own are particularly solid, except for his refusal to hurt children. He doesn’t generally care to find out if his targets are ‘guilty’ or not, but he draws the line at kids.
But even Techno, the Blade, can recognize that killing another human being corrupts something in a person’s soul.Series

“Look,” Technoblade murmurs, nearly inaudible. He nudges Chayanne gently to lift his head, to look up at the castle. “We’re nearly home.”
The castle is big, kind of intimidating with the way it towers over everything else. Ice blue banners flutter in the wind, snowflakes drifting down from the sky. Chayanne shivers, huddling into Technoblade’s warmth.
“You’re safe now,” he says softly, pressing Chayanne a bit closer with the arm around him. “We’re almost home.”or, what happens after an ending.

Summary
Maybe he’s still cynical. Maybe he’s a hopeless pessimist.
Techno just doesn’t see any way the world can get better.
He still contemplates it sometimes. Just walking out into the wilderness, into a drop site or death town, letting the radiation sickness kill him.
In some ways it would be easier. Not having to worry anymore, just letting it end.
He’s fought too hard, given too much. If he died now, his family would never get over it. Tommy looks up to him, Tommy adores him. Phil and Kristin rely on him to encourage them, to be strong when they can’t.
They need him. They all need him so much.

It’s not even the matter of clashing sleep schedules, Phil’s never had an issue with that. Vampires can be quiet when need be. But nothing in the world can change the fact they’re dead in the heart, and cold to the touch, and absolutely fucking insufferable in sticking their freezing hands up his sleeves, as if he’s their personal hand-warmer.
One of these days, he’s just going to put a cross on the door and let them stay cold out on the hallway floor.
