"Actually," he began in a hushed tone, "I've been thinking about growing my hair out again."

    John finds himself listless and depressed, muddling through adulthood, far disconnected from his previous friends, who he has not heard from in eight years. He's twenty-four now, living in the California Bay Area, working at Skaianet, and has never been more repressed in his entire life.
    He's dragged back into the fray that was averted eight years ago when Doc Scratch, indignant, kicks his ass into narrative deployment by pulling a few strings. Doc Scratch isn't in control of everything though, and it seems that he didn't account for one Rose Lalonde meeting John simply by chance.
    This catastrophic hookup will change June's life forever, she just doesn't know it yet... Oh, and probably end the world, but that's for later.
