Summary
September 1982
The war is over. Voldemort was defeated on October 31, 1981. Regulus Black discovered Voldemort’s horcruxes and informed the Order of the Phoenix, which destroyed them. When Voldemort arrived on Halloween to kill baby Harry, the Order was standing by, ready to kill him first.
Almost a year later, the Marauders and their friends are rebuilding their lives.

Summary
Without knowing why, Remus wanted to argue with the other man. “I’ll grant you it’s nice , but I’m just not sure it’s going to suit my column.”
Sirius stared at him incredulously, his control appearing to finally snap. “Nice? Look, I’m the best at what I do, and that’s why Peter approached me for your magazine. If anything, you should be thanking me for even considering drawing for your little... sex column.”
Remus narrowed his eyes, burning with anger over the insult. All thoughts of how incredibly good-looking Sirius was were overridden by how much of an arrogant berk he was. “My little sex column? First of all, it’s a lifestyle column, and secondly, it’s the most popular item in a very successful magazine and directly responsible for our increased subscriptions!”
Sirius smirked, rolling his eyes. “Lifestyle? So whoring around is a lifestyle now?”

Summary
It has been years since the threat of Voldemort and his Death Eaters was defeated, and Sirius has settled into peacetime relatively well; his days a blur of helping out with his beloved godson and making a home with Remus. So maybe it nags at him that things aren't perfect, but perhaps he just isn't seeing the full picture.
