Because the truth is, this thing between them? This bond, this bloodline connection, it’s more intense than Daniel could have ever imagined, and he gets the feeling that Armand feels the same way. It’s funny, in a way, really — he has to laugh about it, because otherwise the sheer insanity of the the implications might drive him off the deep end — that someone as old as Armand can still manage to have “firsts” and that he would choose Daniel of all people to share this one with.
