Minho blinks owlishly at Jeongin, as she chews on her chicken and rice. They’ve discussed an open relationship of some kind briefly before, especially when Jeongin had admitted that she was polyamorous early into their relationship, but nothing had ever came out of that conversation.
Until now.
Jeongin smiles sheepishly. “Oops. That was kind of a lot.”
Minho swallows her pride along with her food. “Do you like him?”

All they had to do to help Jisung with his project, was go to couples therapy and tell the truth. Just the truth. 100% of the truth. The only exception was one tiny, itsy-bitsy little lie- they weren’t even a real couple to begin with.

Jeongin seems embarrassed as he looks away, instead looking out towards the river. “They’re very protective of me. Too much so if I’m being honest. Everytime I bring someone I’m interested in over to meet them, they take one look at them and immediately say that they’re not good enough to date me.”
Or in which Seungmin has to defeat (win over) Jeongin’s six hyungs for the chance to date him.

Summary
“Join Jisung and I tonight,” Seungmin murmurs, in an uncharacteristically soft tone, as if he were cradling Minho close to his chest as he does Felix or Jisung, speaking to him as if he were someone precious and not just the king’s burden to bear. It hurts when Minho knows it’s just his imagination. “We can talk more then.”
“Are you sure?” Minho asks, clenching his fist behind his back tight enough to feel his nails dig into his palm.
Seungmin clenches and unclenches his fists at his sides. “Why wouldn't I be?”
I am your cross to bear. I am a nail in your coffin. I am the thorn in your side. I am. I am. I am.
“Nevermind,” Minho shakes his head and turns to Seungmin, bowing once more. He thinks his nails have broken skin. “See you tonight, then.”

Or; Minho relearns how to love his king through the eyes of his husbands and his past while simultaneously unlearning the mindset that he is only around to serve everyone else.
